Why is web3 so tribal?

Think it’s microcosm of the tribalism that already existed in OSS. Web3 just added financial incentives / alignment on top. Comes down to differing ideological views + financial alignment with those same views

Are the ideological views between BTC , SOL, ETH, etc. maxi's really that different compared to the difference between non-web3 and web3 ideologies?
