My $0.02 on the progression of web3 in commerce:

Step 1: Personalize commerce based on onchain data.
Step 2: Create onchain data based on offchain commerce [which creates more opportunities for personalization].
Step 3: Blur the line between onchain and offchain commerce.

Step 1 is all the token-gating we do. 

The things we want to discover here are:
- how do we help any business set up token-gating in 5 mins or less?
- what's the best UX for token-gating?
- what kinds of wallets do you want to support? And why?
- what kinds of commerce lend themselves best to this?

Less than 0.1% of commerce happens onchain today. Most commerce buyers are not onchain. Most commerce sellers are not onchain. Most commerce history is not onchain. Most consumer credit is not onchain etc etc etc. 

Will have a minority of onchain-first commerce but the chain must meet commerce where it is today.

why not just make all commerce happen onchain, and handle offchain only things like fulfilment?
