I’ve watched some of these as movies and they’ve always held a very “different” energy to me that I almost felt (“offended?!?”) by? 

have you ever felt that way towards a particular artistic body of work? 

I know it’s beautiful and the storylines are gorgeous. maybe I just wasn’t ready for all of the layers of it? honestly I’m fascinated by this question.
