anyone here with adult children who are motorcycle enthusiasts? 

asking for a friend. the friend is me. 😂

my eldest son after a few accidents and heavy repairs decided on a car. cool cool, I was supportive of all of the expressions and experiences. (even the one where his wife and I had to go find him in the hospital, so grateful it was as good as it was) 

thought I was done with this

now my daughter is on the path to owning a motorcycle. only she’s multiple states away. annnnd I’m more apprehensive about it. 

any tips besides “trust”? 🫶🏻

she doesn’t subscribe to peer pressure at all thank goodness (she’s actually taught me about lotttt about this herself)

from me, just tell her to not do anything stupid because of peer pressure 😭 also, i'd never allow to give a ride to someone who doesn't want to wear a helmet

lol, the irony. out of all of the states, this is where she is. (and also where her brother rode) so yeah this definitely influenced my hesitation because the traffic in florida is the worst I’ve ever experienced - and I’ve lived in a few states and traveled through many.

I suppose trust really is the only option

I think some areas are more conducive for riding than others. Florida for example is terrible, especially where I’m at. Hopefully she’s in a chill area

and damnnn I’m glad to hear you walked away from that one (interestingly enough my grandparents owned a trucking company so I have lots of informing on how wild this is!) 

she lives with her brother (the former cyclist) so thankfully the gear will be covered too
