Ⓜ️ Fan Tokens vs. Meme Tokens: Highlighting Moxie for X’s Audience

With Moxie expanding to Base and beyond, I wanted to see how Fan Tokens compare to other opportunities out there. Meme tokens on Pump.fun seemed like a good benchmark, given their recent popularity. While it’s an apples-to-oranges comparison, the idea was to make it easy to grasp for people who haven’t yet started exploring Moxie, especially those on X.

The results? A stark contrast. Fan Tokens show consistent growth, while most Pump.fun meme coins ended up negative. Even among the 0.1 percent of Pump.fun tokens that made it to CoinGecko, only 35 percent delivered positive returns. Another analysis revealed that only one-third of Pump.fun traders were profitable, further highlighting the risks of speculation in the meme token space.

Over the past month:
✔ 99.8 percent of Fan Tokens delivered positive USD returns
✔ Only 34.9 percent of Pump.fun tokens listed on CoinGecko showed gains

I admit my first year buying memecoins has been really fun. I like supporting frens and dreaming of a moonshot.

But boring, DCA investing is my safety net and has produced consistent returns.

I use the same boring strategy with Moxie. Accumulate, DCA into frens and interesting channels fts, and watch them go up. My portfolio is up 22 percent according to MoxieScout.

Those are good returns while waiting for the 100x. Maybe it'll be Moxie?? 🤔🔮

Dollar cost averaging. Recurring investments no matter what the market is doing. For me, they are monthly and most are directly invested from my paycheck.

I don't see the money to spend it and over time it compounds (investment interest is reinvested and builds investment and returns).

It's been my go-to strategy but I'm stretching a bit with the memes.
