The pieces of paper are cuts made from a previous day from an ongoing daily art making project that started in 2014.
Here is the resulting composition from that day. Randomly took out those two pieces and placed them on a friends cutting board in a way that looked interesting to me. The sketch in the background is one my mother made on a paper bag she brought back with her from Germany during one of her visits. She probably made the sketch while in Germany.
