The mask helps the shaman to strengthen the contact with the spirits. For example, by putting on an animal mask, the shaman connects with the spirit of this animal and receives deep answers to questions. Nowadays, shaman masks are rare, as they disappeared from use back in the 19th century. They were made of leather, wood, copper and iron.
