Mt Si is no joke 😐 Great 4-6 hour hike. I’d advise against the final rock scramble unless you have good gear and bouldering experience.

Rock scramble is doable w/o gear but moderate amount of experience is definitely required, and a helmet is advisable. I went this past summer and this Mountain Goat and I surprised each other:

Helmet is a great idea. There were some icy parts when I went which made it super treacherous. I gotta go back in summer and hopefully meet a goat!

Oh yeah - snow/ice would definitely be a no-go for me on that bouldering stretch.

Fortunately most of it wasn’t icy, but there were some sections where it was hard to find a good footing. And my mittens weren’t exactly usable while climbing 😂
