Whether a VC invests in a project or not often feels like fate. Most people already have an answer in their mind before seeing the full picture. At the end of the day, it’s a hunch. All the subsequent due diligence, market research, debates—they’re almost just annotations to justify that hunch.
Annotations aren’t wrong, and hunches aren’t about right or wrong either. Ultimately, only the future will tell.
I often think about a situation where a founder challenged me. He said, 'At first, investors told me to validate the demand, so I did. Then they said they wanted product data, and now I have the data. After that, they said I needed a better team, so I brought on some amazing people. Tell me, why can’t I still get this funding?'
Deep down, I hoped he would eventually prove all of them wrong. On the many roads leading to Rome, every path is heavily guarded. From the bottom of my heart, I wish that someone, could reach the dream without any solidification 0 reply
