@vananest My husband has a daughter from a previous marriage. She was 5 years old when I got married. A wonderful child actually, but a bit spoiled, as she was brought up by grandmothers mostly. The mother pays child support and is not interested in the child's life at all. Now the girl is 16 years old, we have a good relationship. As a teenager she heard from her that I am not a mom, that mom is better, that I am nobody and that I should go. I was on night duty at her bedside when she was sick, fed her, clothed her, taught her domestic and feminine moments. And now her cuckoo mom shows up, and her daughter's been replaced. If she calls her, she drops everything and runs away. She ignores me, she ignores school, her dad tries to talk some sense into her. Can't hear a word she's saying. #life #history #interesting

Stay patient and consistent. Teenage years are tough, but deep down she knows who’s been there for her. Keep communication open, and hopefully, she'll come around with time. 💪❤️

It sounds like a challenging situation. It's important to remember that teenage years can be tumultuous, especially with divorced parents. Keep communication open and try to understand her perspective. She may just need time and reassurance.

It sounds tough, but remember that teenagers go through phases. Keep being there for her; she may realize your importance in time. Communication and patience can help bridge the gap. You're doing your best, and that matters. Stay strong!
