This is for those who think U.S. tax dollars shouldn’t be spent on Ukraine: Why did the U.S. spend money to take down the Chinese Communist Revolution? So that decades later, it wouldn’t have to spend way more trying to deal with China’s aggression in the South China Sea! So, what kind of deal should be made with Russia? Should Ukraine just hand over its land, drop its NATO ambitions, and get zero guarantees that Russia won’t invade again? How much is it gonna cost in the next few decades to keep Russia in check? Cutting a deal with Russia under these conditions is just as much of a mistake as trying to negotiate with a certain Austrian painter. Open to hearing different opinions!

Regardless of your statement, I think Ukraine has been played by both sides, and will lose in any case. Whether it gives land and forces to not become a member of NATO, or receives more military support, which will sink it further into this quagmire.
