The natural intuition is to sell assets when they've gone up in value and to keep holding the ones that haven't gone up yet but this is a losing philosophy. Assets outperform for a reason. No need to end up with all your chips on an underperformer.

Over the past two decades my personal rules have evolved considerably. I used to buy and then sell my positions when they doubled or tripled. I've missed out on so much. Crypto taught me (finally) to recover my basis and then take a portion of profits on each leg. NFTs taught me - sell when they are high mfer. Or lose.

As for positions that decline - set a percentage that is an acceptable loss and if it drops to that GTFO. Declines of 7-8% are a good place for equities but in crypto it needs to be more like 30% because of whale and cabal manipulation. NFTs - well when they are high or risk round trips.
