Should Farcaster count string lengths as bytes or characters? https://hackmd.io/@farcasterxyz/BJeFoxdy3

Lens has no limits. Would like to know why the protocol decided to set a limit. Regarding the question: I would choose what's best for the protocol. Then the client libraries should abstract this issue for the devs.

Can you post a 1GB cast on lens ? If no, then lens has a limit, you just don’t know what it is 😁

Well, that's true. But it is much larger than here. Let's say Farcaster is FAT32 and Lens is NTFS. Both do the same, but the limit is much larger on one of them. I have used windows filesystems but I would prefer to compare ext2 vs ext4 and xfs 😆
