So basically decentralized identifiers with namespace controlled aliasing? IIUC, the aliases are also stored in a contract which would allow for viewing alias history for a given ID? Would love a pointer to the two contract addresses!

the aliasing is implicitly done today by moving the id and name into the same wallet. it will be done explicitly in the future by issuing an off-chain message linking them. latest contract addresses can be found here: https://github.com/farcasterxyz/contracts/

Thanks! So would the off-chain message be knowable to a 3p observer, or just to the namespace controller? Asking bc I’m thinking about the value of making name change history easily viewable. Common Twitter scam is to get a large account then name change to impersonate someone.
