A new draft of Snapchain is up for review This version has significant changes from the previous ones, and goes into much more detail around block building and sharding. https://warpcast.notion.site/Snapchain-v2-Public-10e6a6c0c101807aadfacbcddda8ce4f?pvs=4

> Users would simply stop using Farcaster if it was clear that the network was censoring people. This is not globally true. Every social network we currently use, censors users, yet they are used by billions of people. Which proves that weak censorship resistance (generalizing, not criticizing the proposal) does not hurt growth and business. I'm just saying that the argument can not be used to prove that censorship resistance and validator interests are aligned.

Re: snapshots. Who operates the snapshot service, how are they incentivized, where is the snapshot stored? Who publishes snapshots? How can a hub find the right snapshot to download? Is the snapshot hash published onchain? In subsequent blocks? I think this section needs clarifications.

Something like this in the Extensions section? A signer is valid between the block that contains the addition event and the block that contains the removal event. Deltas signed by a signer can not be added to a block after the signer removal block. When a signer is removed, messages signed with it are not invalidated.

I’d like to see more discussion about the situation of storage getting full. In the current model it would just drop old deltas FIFO style? Why not simply disallowing the user to submit more deltas until they delete some or buy more storage?

My insights : Snapchain v2 is a system that makes decentralized social networks more efficient and user-friendly. It uses an external blockchain for account management but stores posts and follows in a lightweight way. This means it can cut down on unnecessary data, keeping things faster and more scalable. It also allows other apps to connect through app keys without giving up user control, making it easier for developers to integrate their tools while keeping the experience smooth.
