Maybe @xmtp wasn't ready when you first wanted to deploy direct casts, but it seems like it is now. There already exists a unified DM network in web3 that has significantly better security/privacy guarantees than what Warpcast DCs can provide.

XMTP is great but doesn't have many of the group chat and programmability features that are already present in the app today. Unclear if it will be able to easily support these and additional features that users are asking for.

which features are in your app that we don't support? we have many group chat features and programmability.
