A mental thing for me tbh / the beauty of permissionless stuff is I can curate a UI that works rather than accept what’s made 

But I don’t think the UX or UI is a problem here generally speaking

agree on slack/discord being overwhelming. i've felt the same about warpcast ui recently, and we're making some changes. 

the goal is to make channels feel "low stress" while preserving the ability to drill down when you feel like it.
