This is a good decision. Preferenxe falsification is a big problem in society and we need to see people's honest views. It would be really cool if Farcaster follows it, by implementing ZK likes. Can probably borrow technology from zupoll. https://x.com/wanghaofei/status/1793096366132195529

I think it’s a very interesting idea, but requires some more thinking about how to implement it correctly. We would need to encode *some* data about the source of a like because spammy accounts today like a lot of stuff to get things to be boosted in algorithms.

Another issue is that on Farcaster the creator of the like pays for the storage of that data. We would have to invert that relationship so that the author pays for storage. Feasible, but a pretty big redesign of the system that makes storage a much more complicated user experience (which I am always hesitant to do)

Perhaps the most practical way to implement this is as a farcaster app where these “zk likes” are stored offline in some other system and work in parallel to public likes

Is this not a barrier to prevent bot-likes?
