the X account linking is "up to 2600" what determines the value? can it change over time?

totally understood that -- just curious as to what the range was etc. if it's just all in flux sounds good. just saw my value wasn't the 2600 wondering if I could do anything to change that to boost myself for fun and number go up or not yet. cool either way to be verified as much as I am.
