Earlier this morning @danfinlay's account posted a message about a token. This message wasn't posted by Dan and we've been looking into what may have happened. We're still investigating and don't have a root cause yet, but believe this issue only affects this particular account. More details in thread.

The message about the token was posted at ~ 7:15am PT using Warpcast. A little before that, someone logged into Dan's account from a Windows machine. They used the email authentication flow to request a magic link, and appeared to be able to authorize it from Dan's email.

Question when you have time: Is email recovery a warpcast feature and does it only work for users who signed up thru warpcast? If someone were to spin up an account by interacting with the smart contract directly, do they have full self sovereignty over their account? And therefore canβt recover if they lose keys? But also someone else canβt recover the account via email or any other mechanism?

Does this magic link give full access to WC , like being able to export users WC wallet private key, or it behaves like a WC connected app? - as in just being able to cast on behalf of user?
