Tokens launched by VC-backed companies, with large carve outs for investors and team members, are liquidity events just like an IPO. Without a stake in the value created by said business or protocol, whether through governance, equity, or utility, I would be extremely cautious about buying.

I have my assumptions but to be fair to them: - launching a token with equity is extremely legally dubious today and they are a US company - launching a token with utility is very difficult once a product is already live without it - there is no "money printer" (protocol) to govern that I know of
