tbh everyone is midcurving this "coins" thing. tokens is the proper framework. fungible or non. creators make tokens. curators trade them and validate their value. every token type has strengths and weaknesses and lends to a different use case. all content (ug) as coins (fungibles) is a doomed bet.

I think the goal is not to have the coins accrue value in the long run, but to transmit value to the creator with each transaction. Sure, all coins go to zero, but if the creator earns with each sale to the bottom, they at least get something for it

the coins themselves may not need to accrue value long term (though i think this is a worthy space to explore), but the creator, and frankly collectors, should more directly.

isn't that the goal of the fee split with each transaction? you earn along the way? i think the issue is more that it's only 1%, when we're used to 10% royalties as creators, with a few % to collectors for referrals
