cliff notes from the X space w/ @burrrrrberry for those who missed it: • total tip emissions will be lowered from the current $5MM $DEGEN per season down to $1MM per season • that pace of emissions would allow Airdrop 2 tipping to continue for 3 years • a rule-based approach will be used to police tipping going forward to avoid subjectivity. @jacek will be making proposed rules and accompanying data sources public for debate and discussion soon • in general, @jacek emphasized his long-term approach to building this project and fostering the community around it (vs. chasing hot metas)

Guy has promoted the "APY" of tipping token staking (in terms of paying yourself?) and self-tipping apps. Now all the sudden there's concern people are just using it as a faucet to pay themselves. Go figure. Like, maybe just think, consider consequences for just a few minutes even.

They've changed the ban list three times this week alone and are changing it again, so obviously they put next to no thought into this and it shows.

What gets me is they only start these grand gestures when price tanks. Opposite of pro-active. These things have been obvious since staking started, and before. Staking was a response to price, and so is the current freak-out.
