My name is Pavlo, and I live in Ukraine, where the war has been ongoing for two years. Each day, we wake up to the sound of sirens, hoping the missiles will miss us. Unfortunately, this time, I wasn’t so fortunate.
Recently, when air defense systems intercepted an enemy missile, a piece of its warhead hit my apartment. One entire room was destroyed, and I lost my home. My apartment needs significant repairs, but the issue is that it was bought with a loan. I still have to pay the mortgage for a place that is no longer livable. Additionally, I need to rent a new place since I have nowhere else to go.
The government is currently prioritizing support for the military to help us endure. While that is the right focus, assistance for people in situations like mine comes very slowly—if it comes at all. That’s why I have no choice but to seek support from you. 1 reply
