Building a proof of concept quickly does not mean that building the actual project will be quick. I feel like they can actually cause us to underestimate how long something will take since "it's basically done"

indeed, but the point of the proof of concept is more to go and show it to get feedback and see if it's actually worth it to build the thing. Not so much to get an idea of whether it's easy to turn into a product. No?
