My /hottakes is that your MVP should have little to no custom CSS. Grab a UI library off the shelf and build. Note: Doesn’t always apply to me cause I’m special.

i am way more comfortable with writing my own CSS than learning a UI library, way too many classes to learn

For me, the benefit is less about writing CSS and more about needing to think about custom design and saving time building custom components in the beginning. Not saying anything about styling systems specifically, btw, just my suggestion for MVPs. If you like your workflow, though, thats awesome, keep doing that.
