i saw mixed thoughts ab this (i’m ambivalent). some folks said it’s fair for them to do so, since it’s their centralized company’s chain. i also saw, one benefit bc of OP stack was users could still go through l1 and not be censored.

For me it’s like why launch an L2 or even be in crypto if they’re gonna censor in a way that’s not even really justified. They’re allowed to do that, I guess, and we can just not use it 🤷♂️

Yes. And we should be stoked they’re building on OP Stack. They’re participating in the larger ETH economy. Don’t bash them. Celebrate them. We want more corporations to build on OP Stack, Not less. Their alternatives are their own L1s and that doesn’t contribute to ETH economy at all.

But do they need to be shit on? It’s like poker. A whale sits down at a game. The best players know to make the whale feel comfortable and welcomed. Regs who are midwits will berate the whale for his stupid play when he gets lucky and wins a big pot. If that happens enough times, the whale (and his friends) won’t come back. Bashing Sony for the choices they make doesn’t help anyone.
