Gonna vent a little bit after getting _another_ tokenproof email saying I haven't claimed my tickets yet when I have. Why do these major events always feel so slapped together? Convoluted sign ups, always needing some random app, missing a bunch of critical info, 10 days out and no schedule. Can we do better?

my understanding was that the festival does a good job with staying organic and community-centered, and staying loose with organization and participantsā UX not a terrible tradeoffā¦ š¤·š»

Seconded. I made a temporary address to get through the sign up, but it's on my desktop and I can't connect to the mobile app so I gave up. This is not how you get PMF. Optional sure, but don't require people to use a bespoke process.

I have a feeling that the deal to run the ticketing is a combo sponsorship-but-you-have-to-use-our-platform kinda thing. And since it's a free event, they are probably fairly constrained by the best financial deal they can get. It sucks that the crypto experience for a crypto event is not great.

Additionally the process of running an event needs to get the basics right before trying to add decentralization and it seems we aren't even at 2004 levels for that š

Feels a little like this every year with ETH Denver. The schedule is a mess and the mass emails are almost always incorrect. I had to change wallets last year and they just could not figure it out.
