I've learned that lesson fortunately with less potential gains, so I sleep a lot easier than some.  I have since learned that there is a difference between taking profits and selling the entire bag; it's often worth holding onto a few and letting it ride than taking the extra hundred bucks and clearing the bags.

Absolutely.  I can't say it's a 1:1 correlation, but since being laid off my software engineering job, I had a choice sell or keep the dirtbike-- now the value of the bike wasn't going to turn into a jackpot, but getting some rent money definitely made me breath easier and give me plenty of runway to figure things out.

I have also learned that lesson. This time I preferred to sleep easier at night in the short term. I believed in DEGEN when i sold that bag. But in the end, I could not afford to gamble with value I needed to survive and take next steps towards transitioning towards full time art. It paid for my trip to LA for FarCon!
