1/5 On Base, we’re the 3rd largest token by wallet holders, trailing only USDC and WETH. Our recent distribution round has placed Degen in the hands and minds of nearly everyone on Base, and our reach extends beyond. The question now is: how do we build value for Degen holders?

I'll play devil's advocate and say that maybe it's best to focus on one clear goal versus three or four different ones. 

The statement below by @baubergo- struck me: "Without careful direction, we risk becoming just another generic project..." 

We should be careful not to dilute focus so much that we loose direction.

Staking is common in crypto. 
Imo, Degen should leverage the SocialFi elements that built its strong community. How can we take a typical feature like staking, present in over 70% of projects, and integrate it into SocialFi?

One idea is to provide access to gated channels with DAO-like advantages. We need to keep improving the innovation in Farcaster to strengthen our community bonds. We already have @hypersub (@nonlinear.eth) as a potential infrastructure for gated channels. By adding staking as an additional requirement, we could create various channels with staking thresholds to unlock powers or perks, all related to DEGEN.
