Mainly thinking whether it is good for the Environment, if it ends up also being good for others - businesses / sellers - that is fine but only if the intended result of lower concentration of CO2 / GHGs in atmospere is reached

And proper incentives can probably only come from Governements - top down? Lower taxes or fees / penalties on per tonne ghg released

honestly its an odd thing. on one hand it promises to be great. but without proper MRVs, and proper incentives as to why CDR is going to help underlying businesses, it's not going to effective is my imo

I'd say it's a step in the right direction, definitely better than doing nothing. Coupled with footprint reduction it's a no brainer imho.
