imo, early stage startups should send succinct investor updates. Feels like most either send updates that are too long (with too much formatting) or don't send them at all. Tend to agree about brevity, but would say visuals help with that too. Particularly when you review updates from many different companies and need to reset historical context to one quickly.

Visuals should be links imo or attachments. Inline image rendering esp. on mobile is inconsistent. Images often also make the text super small

Fair regarding image rendering. Visuals aren’t only images tho. I guess I’m spoiled because we made a tool for this, so I get nice html based charts that render responsively on mobile.
