Today we have nation states. Tomorrow we will have network states. The transition will not be people migrating physically first. But digitally first. They will choose a dual citizenship (nation/network), physically being aligned with the nation and digitally with the network. It will be very controversial.

Winners: - networks obviously - more autonomous city states / small countries that embrace the network, think Dubai, Singapore, Salvador etc. ; can also be cities in the US, Miami and Austin come to mind Loosers: - Large nations states, especially with high deficit - Countries that do not embrace change in general
