Network States

Today we have nation states.
Tomorrow we will have network states.

The transition will not be people migrating physically first. But digitally first. They will choose a dual citizenship (nation/network), physically being aligned with the nation and digitally with the network.

It will be very controversial.

Who do you think will be the big winners and losers in this paradigm?

Winners:
- networks obviously
- more autonomous city states / small countries that embrace the network, think Dubai, Singapore, Salvador etc. ; can also be cities in the US, Miami and Austin come to mind

Loosers:
- Large nations states, especially with high deficit
- Countries that do not embrace change in general
