sat next to a @devcon attendee on the flight home, asked him at one point if he was "on farcaster," as one does turns out he has an account (hey @alexfertel 👋), but isn't qdau as he gets better engagement on X + felt the vibe is "too degen" here if this were a month ago, i might've said otherwise, but with memecoining in full swing atm i honestly could only chuckle & nod 😆

haha tbh i think the degen aspect is impossible to *fully* avoid which is fine and it’s on you to manage your feed accordingly (esp w revchron feed now) extends to farming stuff too. like i rarely see moxie/ham/etc in my feed bc…i’ve curated it that way. perfect? no. but feasible

i wasn't offended by it (enjoy shitcoining myself 😂), nor do i think it's practical to expect a degen free environment in web3 more found it funny that the general impression of fc, by insiders and outsiders, is that it's this "christian rap" "ivory tower," and it was the first time i heard someone describing it as degen
