Highly recommend taking a caffeine fast (7+ days off caffeine) every once in a while It will re-regulate your adenosine systems. Adenosine is under-discussed, but it’s basically the relaxation neurotransmitter Caffeine withdrawals are a bitch, but it’s worth the reduced anxiety, muscular tension, and improved sleep

you do *any* taper or straight from high daily intake -> cold turkey? i’ve gotten a bit too numb to caffeine and am probably way overdue for a lengthy fast

I’ve done both, and it mostly correlates to how much time I have off If I’m in a heavy work period, have to taper - otherwise the brain fog from cold turkey withdrawals makes it impossible to get anything done If it’s intimidating, try starting out by tapering 50-100mg a week. Even reduced caffeine is huge
