Am I the only one who feels a bit sad reading takes like "yeah, proxystudio made a big mistake in the past, but they were really good to me / my project / the ecosystem"? Feels like people are literally putting personal gain above the harm done to others.

Cognitive dissonance is a bitch. I grapple out loud. I’m mostly wondering about two possibilities. Is it it sociopathy? Or is it addiction? maybe it’s neither but having had experience with these two personalities, I personally think exploring it matters 

It probably does come off like we’re not considering people affected but I think that is a function of processing something so shocking. Ultimately, I like reconciliation in all the various forms that takes. But also I’m keenly aware sometimes clean breaks are needed. See “Benevolent Narcissist”
