I love seeing all the charged response from people with no experience in working with the forest service. The forest service sucks and this is coming from someone who lives outdoors and lives backed up to forest service land. Their agency label is friendly, their policies and political agendas are not. They’ve also never been the same since Great Recession, which I’m also going to guess 9/10 here only experienced in diapers or at a classroom desk. Maybe, just maybe, running vibes isn’t the answer

Every single government agency is corrupt and bloated. What worries me isn't what gets cut. It's what it gets replaced with when we find out which services were addressing essential public needs, even if inefficient and ineffective. This is why my focus is to build better autonomous organizations for producing distributed good. Instead of just having big corp replace big gov, which is what is currently being prepped for.
