True but let's not forget the other side of that coin which is, as a user/consumer, if a bad actor fleeces you, you're often powerless to raise a claim against them. Dispute resolution hasn't made the jump to permissionless systems very well. For every good business screwed by Etsy, how many consumers have been made whole from bad businesses? I don't know that answer, but it feels relevant to the discussion.

Fair point What's interesting to me is how the behavior of the platform is dictated by the flaws of the underlying payment structures it's in Etsy's interest to be disproportionately buyer friendly/seller adverse because chargebacks are such a pain to deal with and a risk for them Better payment rails = fairer business for all involved
