I think this is hugely true and relevant. Web2 technology trained us all on a sociological level. This is why I believe we have to focus on behavioral economics in product design, not engagement metrics, if we want to build something actually better for people, and not just better for products.

appreciate your insight - feels like we are approaching an era where systems become increasingly important, with how many complex interactions and how interrelated everything is. Building a purely better product to consume will only get us so far - the whole socio-technological layer will have to be factored in
