I'd suggest that Orwell was at least partially right, in that certain narratives (equating to deprivation, concealment, & captivity) have led to Huxley's predicted future. I'll admit though that with the given incentives and technology, we would have likely found our own way there at some point. Having read Comfort Crisis last weekend has put me in a mood 😅
