It’s crazy how growing up in the Midwest I always believed making $100k a year salary was “success.” It’s so not true anymore due to cost of living anymore. Maybe it’s middle class at best.

It wasn't that long ago that when my boss at the time told me I was getting a raise to put me above $100k, I cried on the spot. I almost couldn't believe it. Growing up, my parents combined were nowhere close to that.
