I just discovered the t8ke scale and felt a bit of relief. My own, based on a 5 point scale and mostly for beer, is pretty accurately aligned, even in the language used. I applied descriptions for ratings because I saw too many people giving drainpours a 3 or whatever and when we were drinking together, it gave a more common vocabulary. Of course, there are more dimensions underneath these ratings — e.g., price, category — but that's a different discussion. The t8ke Scoring Scale: 1 | Disgusting | So bad I poured it out. 2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice. 3 | Bad | Multiple flaws. 4 | Sub-par | Not bad, but many things I’d rather have. 5 | Good | Good, just fine. 6 | Very Good | A cut above. 7 | Great | Well above average 8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional. 9 | Incredible | An all-time favorite 10 | Perfect | Perfect
