Unless the founder is primarily a dev, in which case 1) no your way isn’t the right way, and 2) yes you can/should get help with things outside of your expertise eg Product, QA, Marketing

disagree. devs can be good at marketing / building a personal brand too, some of the best technical founders have done this eg @haydenzadams @jessepollak @dwr.eth

These examples are true.. although the exception, not the rule. 
Typically we see devs that confuse marketing with hype.
