today is toby’s gotcha day!! on this day 5 years ago, we called up my brother in law to ask him to drive us 30min outside of the city to meet this lady bev in the parking lot of a petsmart to pick up this dog we’d never met before

finally did my first trail run of the year yesterday and was reminded of how much i love it i absolutely love skiing don’t get me wrong but hiking was my first true love, which turned into trail running, which is what got me into road running kind of a backwards way of doing it as most people start with road running and then get into trail running but i guess that kind of sums up most of my life

these numbers may shock you but in case you were wondering how much it actually costs to run a professional podcast with consistent publishing per year: - indie tech podcasts (incl crypto): $100-500K/year - larger productions like radiolab or this american life: $3-5M "can't you just speak into a mic and start recording yourself? why is it so expensive?" have you considered the cost of: - production - editing - marketing and distribution - equipment - website and hosting - guest coordination - research and writing - onchain costs like gas larger podcasts have teams of 10-20 working on one podcast. to do all of this with a small team of 1-3 is multitudes more difficult than most people imagine same thing for various types of video creators as well or anyone who creates content consistently major respect to all my fellow content creators out there who stay grinding day after day, week after week, i see you and pls drop your links below so i can collect your work and show some support 🫡

i feel like this is what half of you envision when i say i go skiing with my dog lol but also who wants to build this prototype for a dog ski ✅ only back paws are strapped in 🐾 front paws stay unbound for balance, traction, braking, and steering skis function like a climbing skin with uphill and downhill mode and primarily help the doggo float better on deep powder
