So let me preface this with "your coin; your rules" so this all certainly your call @betashop.eth re: /moxie but this seems a bit hasty. I've found that carrots tend to work better than sticks. So regarding this "we feel that $250 in rewards is a generous amount after which to require everyone to play in the system in order to continue earning," which on its face isn't unreasonable except some people have actually put in funds to support the experiment but are likely being swept up into this. No idea where I am in regards to rewards and haven't received this notice yet BUT I couldn't actually claim my airdrop when moxie first launched so I put in 1 eth of my own funds so that I could support the project and buy some fan tokens etc. (continued in replies)

continuing... EXCEPT I had to complete my claim in the frame to be able to that and because my airdrop was stuck, I couldn't. It took a while for me to finally dive into a pretty technical process to get my claim moved from the mainnet eth safe to my wallet so that I could actually claim and start to buy some fan tokens and support some of the creators on here. But honestly, I don't want to launch my own fan token. Just not something I want to do at this time. We may end up doing a channel one, but aren't ready to do this either yet. Being referred to as a "non-player" if I don't launch a fan token but have purchased and locked many plus put in 1 eth of my own funds feels bad tbh. And doesn't motivate me to want to actually launch a fan token -- quite the opposite. So maybe give this a think along with the feedback from others who have been buying fan tokens but don't want to launch their own -- there might be a better approach to reach the same goal of sustainability.

i get your point here as well.. referring someone that doesnt launch their token as a non-player is wrong (as long as they actually are playing ahah) one thing i wanna add is that launching a fan token doesnt take *any* additional work.. you basically only share the rewards with your fans.. you dont have to start gating stuff, or using fan tokens at all.. some people had their fan tokens launched at the beginning without them even wanting to.. and those tokens are doing great without ever talking or caring about moxie.. again, i get your point.. and i agree on most of it.. but i also agree on the fact that if someone is not willing to share a small portion of their rewards with their fans they are not worthy of receving them.. 99% of these people are just being greedy (imo) there may be some exceptions like yourself but i can count them with my fingers.. overall who doesnt want to launch their tokens are just greedy farmers

Thanks for sharing your perspective. Totally get it — fair take. I think a lot of the issue could’ve been solved with better comms. The out of the blue direct cast and the use of non player was just not a good approach. If this had been announced for a bit and was expected, and if there was some kind of thought towards holders of fan tokens at some level, it might have been different. Unspecific to Moxie — I really dislike when there’s a rule change out of the blue. And for creators, I think there’s a different expectation with fan tokens. This has been my concern. It also takes away a bit imo from our Hypersub holders so I don’t want to just throw it out there. If we were going to do it, it would be intentional. Bottom line, it’s the moxie’s team call but I felt compelled to share how I was feeling about it.

Agree 1000000% with everything you said Could have been communicated better.. which they actually did in the community call but if someone misses it, the change feels out of the blue (i miss most of them too lol) You did very good in sharing your perspective, its actually very helpful and im sure your feedback is well received Some other people just become aggressive and start fudding instead of actually discussing on what can be done better lol I appreciate you and im sure the team does as well

Thanks — yes this is definitely not meant to be fud and I appreciate the effort of @betashop.eth and the team to experiment with this large of an effort. Also why I started with “your coins, your rules” because there’s absolutely no way to make everyone happy and in the end they need to do what they think is best. Just thought it was important to share my perspective. And glad it’s led to some good convos. 💜
