I felt pangs of this populism ngl when it happened. Certainly not enough to make posts of outright bloodlust. I felt ashamed my gut reacted that way. But also this revenge fantasy against health insurance execs was literally the plot of a movie (SAW VI) 15 years ago and not much has changed wrt sentiment. What did anyone expect. I disagree that it’s leftists driving this fully too. It’s populists on both sides Thing is, healthcare is scarce. It will always be rationed. The state will do it if private companies don’t and I am not sure we would like the state’s decisions any better than these companies. We go to other countries to get cheaper healthcare. They come here to get stuff their state run medical systems won’t let them have We can repeal the ACA and improve insurance that way. It will work because less people will be able to get coverage - is that really a solution? The complexity of the problem makes it feel intractable to me. Someone will always get fucked over here

Complex issue, felt populism but not bloodlust. Rationed healthcare, state vs private. No easy solutions
