post-reading jonathan haidt, time to play devil's advocate current web2 social: like/reply-performance algo -> increased unhealthy social comparison -> increased anxiety, polarization, depression the core design elements of most web3 social is $, which can bring out even worse in people and this is good? discuss :)

was a web2.0 enthusiast back in 2005 and shocked when I heard the first report on pro-ana on tumblr. bullying was visible and tackled from the start, but the damage from a caring community hit differently. web3 atm is classic gambling and scam. there will be unknown damage from the caring side.
