Interesting thought… Starbucks is the only app where I keep a balance, since I spend there reliably. But only like $25 at a time reload and not auto because once in I can’t get it out, only spend it. It’s a free 0% loan to Starbucks.

On coinbase wallet you even get usdc interest.

Otoh funds distributed across multiple small wallets earning interest or staking rewards feels like a tax nightmare.

Starbucks customers have something like $1.4 billion in balances in the Starbucks app at any given time.

We give them a billion and a half dollar loan, no interest, and only ask for it back when we want to buy some 90% margin coffee from em. Amazing.
