I think i can see what they are trying to do with channels on warpcast 

And it makes more sense to me now, comparing it to the discord servers and TG chats

Yes! People creating communities *legitimately need spaces*. None of them are quite compelling enough.

I noticed groupchats have been tried out on warpcast but aren’t quite as free as channels will be

And that makes more sense tbh

Now people can have their community spaces, without restrictions and with better expression and freedom
