This year a friend asked if he could help with the honey harvest, so I left a super (honey compartment) on for him to experience the process from start to finish. Here we’re just getting the last of the stragglers 🐝 off the honey frames! 🍯 🍯🍯

I’m only slightly upset at the “normal” name. lol 

I’ve never thought about a bee’s grip before, but I’m happy to know they are clinging to it like “nooooo”

Just known as a bee brush. They’re really soft and the idea is that a bee can also grab hold of the bristles. It’s not easy to get them off as it’s so soft sometimes it has little effect against their though grip! 🐝
